Collection: Why the Outer Banks?

Celebrating where it all started for me in the surfing industry.

It was the summer of 1994, Dare County, Memorial Day weekend. I found myself living in a surf shop two weeks removed from graduating college. Located in Nags Head next door to Tortuga's Lie where I was "car camping" in my brothers truck was the surf shop, The PIT surf shop. That summer a chance encounter with the new surf shop and its two owners changed my life. We're coming home this summer to where it all started for me in the surf and action sports industry. We're coming home to the Outer Banks and officially launching our brands. Kranik and Skwok and our collections under the KRANIK BRAND Umbrella are a reflection of those good times and amazing experiences and a reflection of being a teen in the 80's. Simple logos. Simple concept. Simple fun.
